This was a 17 mi RT hike with a hair over 4k' of total climbing (both ways). You start at about 8000', and the gap you cross over is at 10,587' I went on this trip with Joe, Erin, Ryan, and Danny. We started from the Mineral King Valley in Sequoia NP (which has the most amazing drive in to it...). We headed up and over Farewell Gap, where we entered into Sequoia NF. We went a little ways in, then headed up an amazingly steep hill to Bullfrog Lakes, where we spent the night, and came back the next day. Marmots!
